Topics

While small projects may only have several rules, most projects will have dozens, often hundreds.  It is important to be able to filter the rules to those of interest, both for development, and for Business User communication.

 API Creator therefore provides the ability to define Topics, which can then be assigned to rules.  You can then filter rules by category.

Define Topics

You can define Topics as shown below.

Multiple Topics per rule

Recall rules are automatically re-used for all transactions that alter their referenced data.  So, you can assign a rule to multiple Topics, such as the Customer Balance.


Filter Rules by Topic

Using the Topics tab in the Rules menu - rules can be filtered by a selected topic.
